Numerous inhabitants of Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii were compelled to evacuate their residences, along with their pets and possessions, on Tuesday evening due to the devastating wildfires sweeping through various towns, including the historic enclave of Lahaina.
This calamity has resulted in a confirmed death toll of 36 individuals, with numerous others sustaining injuries and hundreds of families being displaced from their homes. Numerous roads throughout the islands have been closed, communication infrastructure has been impacted, and the airports are experiencing high levels of congestion.
Numerous shelters have been established to aid those affected on the islands, and various local organizations are gathering donations to provide assistance. USA Today has compiled a list of resources for individuals, whether they are in close proximity or from distant locations, to extend help to the residents and animals of Hawaii.
